  • Visiting an arctic landscape and seeing the "big ice" is something that I've longed to do since I was a young child.  Where I once thought I had to go to Antarctica to fulfill this dream, I became aware of a distinctly unique area in Eastern Greenland, a place unlike any other on earth.  I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to explore this area in the summer of 2024 and this book chronicles that experience as we sailed on a 70-year old wooden two-masted wooden sailboat through the waters of Scoresby Sund.  Largely written on location to capture the nuances and subtlety of emotion and detail that is often lost with time, each chapter of this book is full of our daily adventures along with plenty of images to transport you to this time and place as you read along.
