If you are in to editing photographs, you probably have heard of a program called Luminar from a company called Skylum.   It’s a fantastic intuitive and easy to use program for making some awesome edits to your images before posting or printing.

I’ve been using Luminar alongside my normal suite of tools (Lightroom, photoshop, etc) and I’ve gradually been moving towards using Luminar for more and more of my images, it’s that good.  I can do quick one-click edits if I’m in a rush, or I can build layers of multiple adjustments and tailor the image to my exact vision.  As much as I’ve been using Luminar to edit, I’ve had to rely on Lightroom as my image catalog tool to sort and rank images, which is kind of a pain since I don’t use Lightroom for anything else these days and it doesn’t make sense to have LR just for cataloging.

Well, I’m happy to say that in just a few days, Skylum will be releasing the latest iteration of Luminar, called Luminar 3, which will feature LIBRARIES! Finally I will have an integrated tool that I can catalog, review, rank, sort and then edit seamlessly in one program.  It’s a super exciting release that is scheduled for December 18th, 2018.
