Just a little post tonight as I finished processing one of the images below and just had to share 🙂

I developed a fondness for shooting close-up images with my Canon 5DkII and 100mm macro lens.  I don’t shoot true macro, 1:1, but instead shoot more close up or intimate nature shots.

When I switched to the Fujifilm system, I was a bit skeptical of the macro lens that was, and still is, offered by Fuji.  It just seemed so small, so non-professional, when you looked at it.  But when you held it, you quickly learned it is built to the same exacting standards as the rest of their lens line up.  I was a bit concerned about only being a 60mm focal length, however, when shot with an APSC sensor, it is a 90mm which is darn near the 100mm I was used to.  It is also relatively fast with a max aperture of f/2.4.

What has literally blown my socks off is the resolving capability of this little lens on the X-T2 body!!!!!  When you get everything right with good technique and the right conditions, this fantastic lens sure delivers.  Detail, resolution, lack of artifact or aberrations, this lens delivers on all fronts.  And, it’s water resistant to boot for extra protection in the field.

If you’re a Fuji shooter and enjoy close-up work, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy of this lens.  I have been so thrilled with this lens!  Read about it HERE
