I just released my newest E-Book, The Beauty of Dahlias. After photographing these flowers for many years I have amassed quite a collection of dahlia images. I thoughtfully curated the collection in to what I feel are some of my finest images and put them together in to a small book. I have also included thoughtful quotations about flowers from a variety of folks, some of whom you may recognize. Flower photography is something that I didn’t set out to enjoy, but over the years it is something that I look forward to every year. The first signs of Fall is typically the dahlia bloom and there is no better way to kick off the Fall season than photographing dahlia flowers.
Dahlias come in so many different shapes and colors and I find that they provide endless compositional possibilities. The curated collection in this dahlia flower e-book contains many of the different varieties, but by no means is it all inclusive. There are hundreds of different varieties and I simply couldn’t capture them all. The dahlia flower e-book is formatted to be viewed on a mobile device, iPad or phone, and is easy to scroll through.

Oregon is fortunate to have many amazing dahlia growers in the area, often in close proximity, which makes it an ideal subject matter for photography. Lots of variety and easy access.
